Parker and di Napoli wrote and produced BARTLEBY (2001), a quirky twist on a classic story by Herman Melville (Parker also directed). Bartleby was opening night feature at the New Directors' Festival at MOMA and played Deauville, SXSW, Seattle, Karlovy Vary and other film festivals. Parker and di Napoli subsequenly collaborated on THE CALIFORNIANS, a modern take loosely adapted from the Bostonians by Henrey James, which was released in October, 2005.
JONATHAN PARKER (writer/director/producer/composer) received a BA from Stanford University before studying film at New York University and music composition at the Manhattan School of Music. In the 80's Parker toured as a pianist, singer, and vibes player with alternative music groups, recording for indie labels and CBS records. Parker then segued into videos, with work appearing on MTV, Nickelodeon and Showtime.
CATHERINE DI NAPOLI (writer/producer) studied film at loyola Marymount University and in Rome. Her student short, LORELEI, garnered awards from international and U.S. film festivals. In 1998 di Napoli moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and teamed up with Jonathan Parker to create Parker Film Company.
